On Sunday, January 27, two residences located in Herington on East Catalpa and South Broadway Streets were burglarized.  Items stolen include a .38 Special pistol in a zippered pouch, a silver “choker” necklace, one strand of pearls necklace, a ring with 3 or 4 birthstones, a Timex women’s watch without a band, a high school class ring (Class of 1951, Hillsboro High School), two antique pocket watches, two Patriotic Eagle knives, fifty gold dollar coins, packages of ground beef labeled with the victim’s name and multiple other miscellaneous items of value.
